What gets checked, how long scans take, and how to read results.
What does WPAQ stand for?
Watch, Probe, Analyze, and Quantify. You probe a site for evidence (crawl, screenshots, axe, CrUX/PSI where available), analyze what to fix first, quantify scores and history, then watch with scheduled scans, alerts, and sharing. AI explanations are optional and credit-metered — the scanner does the checking.
What does a scan check?
Every scan reviews technical health, SEO basics, performance signals, accessibility issues, and common security misconfigurations. Business and Agency plans run full scans that add axe-core accessibility testing, browser lab metrics, Chrome UX Report (CrUX) field data, and PageSpeed Insights lab scores where available. Findings include evidence — URLs, headers, or snippets — so you can verify and fix them.
How long does a scan take?
A typical homepage scan finishes in a few minutes. Larger crawls (more pages or deeper site structure) take longer and depend on your plan limits for pages per scan and scan duration. PageSpeed Insights scores may appear shortly after the main report if they are still loading.
Can I scan any website?
Only scan sites you own or are explicitly authorized to test. Automated scanning of third-party sites without permission violates our acceptable use policy and may be blocked.
Why are some pages missing from my report?
Pages may be skipped when they are blocked by bot protection, return errors, sit behind login, or fall outside your plan page limit. The report notes blocked or failed pages when that happens.
What does “With warnings” mean?
A scan marked With warnings finished, but some pages could not be fully checked — often because of bot protection, timeouts, or crawl limits. Review the report for blocked or failed pages before acting on scores.
Do failed scans count toward my monthly limit?
No. Only completed scans count against your monthly scan allowance. Failed scans do not reduce your remaining quota.
How soon can I re-scan the same website?
Signed-in users can re-scan from a completed report using the Re-scan button. The same URL can be scanned again every 6 hours — if you start a scan sooner from Overview, WPAQ may open your most recent report instead of running a new crawl. When re-scan is on cooldown, the button is disabled and its tooltip shows when the next scan is available.
How do I compare scans over time?
Open a saved website from Dashboard → Websites. After at least two completed scans, the site overview shows what improved, regressed, and changed between the latest run and the previous one.
